What To Expect

Gathering together for a time of worshipping God is the highlight of the week at First Baptist. If you are new to the area, traveling or looking for a church home we encourage you to be our guest. We’ve developed this section of our website to answer some questions you may have and to help you feel more comfortable as you visit with us.

Worship Style

Through our choir, ensemble groups, soloists and musicians you will experience an amazing time of worship directed to God Himself each week.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing business-casual attire. Don’t be surprised if you see very few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.

What about my kids?

Childcare is provided for Birth-3 years on Sundays as well as Wednesday evenings. This enables parents to attend both a worship service and Bible Class. For children 4 and older a worship/teaching experience (C.I.A. - Children In Action) is provided for them while you attend service. We offer a clean, fun, safe and secure environment.

Small Group Bible Studies @ 9:30 a.m.

We have Sunday morning "Bible Studies For Life" groups that meet at 9:30 a.m. in our Educational Building. We have a great time of fellowship along with some small breakfast items, coffee (and juices for you non-coffee drinkers) starting at 9:15 a.m. So come early so we can get to know you.

On Sunday mornings you will greeted at the door and given an information piece detailing what is currently going on in the life of the Church. If you are a 1st-timer and need to know where you or your children are to go, our greeters will be delighted to take you to the right places. (Click the "Get Connected" tab above to find out where you can plug in).

Worship @ 10:45 a.m.

After Small Group ends at 10:30, we gather in the Sanctuary for our morning worship service which begins at 10:45. As you enter you will be met by one of our friendly greeters to welcome you and help you find a seat if you would like assistance.

During worship we:

Have an informal time of welcome and greeting. We want to introduce ourselves to you and welcome you!

Ask our 1st-time guests to fill out a welcome card from one of our greeters or found in the book rack on the pew and place it in the offering plate during the offering.

Worship the Lord in music and praise

Hear a message from God's Word.

Invite you to respond to what God is saying to you.

Honor God with our giving (expected of members, but not guests).

At the conclusion of the service we give an opportunity for those who would like to become a part of the FBC family to do so! The Pastor will be available to answer any questions you may have about our church or what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

After the service

Our Pastors are in the foyer to meet you and thank you for worshipping with us. Audio CD's of the message are available if you would like to take one to share with a friend or utilize for further study.

Who We Are
